Canvey Island's Academy side scored a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon.

The home side the lead just before half time, but The Gulls levelled on 85 minutes through former-Canvey Island Youth midfielder Jack Surridge.

The match, which was played at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, has seen Canvey put together a 3-match undefeated run and keep them on course for an excellent first season.

Canvey Island Starting XI: Mitchell Clarke, Charlie Pardoe (Darren Kombe, 70mins), Tyler Hayes, Jack Surridge, Joe Wise, Arron Kerner, Myron Hammilton, Mitchell Gilbey, Brennon Nolan, Samir Yasin  (Jake McCabe, 75mins), George Cocklin. Unused Subs: George Walsh, Connan Waring, Callum Jones, Lee Shipton.
