U13's Yellow Reach Two Cup Finals
Canvey Island Youth U13's Yellow made it through to their second cup final in as many weeks on Sunday, beating Forest Glade Red 8-1 away.
The win saw the young Gulls into the Southend & District Junior Sunday League U13 League Cup Final, a week after reaching the U13 League Shield Final by winning 6-0 away to Essex Royals Blue.
Samuel Toyin-Adebanjo bagged hattricks in both matches, scoring five against Essex Royals and four against Forest Glade to cap off two excellent team performances.
Managed by Rod Hall and Dan Rising and supported by Charlie Gleisinger (coach) and Emma Boddy (admin), the team will now face Southendian Manor Black in the League Shield Final on Sunday 30 April at Great Wakering Rovers' Burroughs Park before heading to Southend United's Roots Hall on Sunday 21 May to face Leighwood United Black in the League Cup Final.
We congratulate the team on their magnificent achievements and wish them the very best of luck for both finals, as well as for the league in which they currently sit second with games in hand.
