Local Derby On Saturday As Gulls Host Grays

On Saturday we welcome local rivals Grays Athletic to The Frost Hire Stadium in the Bostik North, kick off at 15:00.

The Blues are currently 13th in the table and come into this match following a penalty shootout win away to Stansted in the BBC Essex Senior Cup 3rd Round after the match had finished 1-1.

This will be our 32nd competitive meeting with Grays, with our record to date reading P 31, W 20, D 5, L 5, F 58, A 34.

Our last meeting came in the reverse league fixture at the end of September when an incredible match finished 6-3 to the Gulls.

Goals from Mitchell Gilbey, Sam Collins and George Sykes (2) had seen us race into a 4-0 lead after 54 minutes, but Grays reduced the arrears to only one goal ten minutes later following strikes from Ryan Mahal, Callum Ibe and Adeyinka Cole.

However, Gilbey scored again immediately after Grays’ third goal to make it 5-3, and Steve Sheehan sealed the points on 70 minutes after George Sykes had seen a penalty saved to deny him a hattrick.

Before the match we will be observing a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to those members of the armed forces who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Admission is priced at £10.00 Adults, £6.00 Concessions (over-60's, students with valid ID) and £1.00 U16's.

Members of the armed forces and emergency services will be able to watch the match for free, while Premier League and Football League season tickets holders can attend for half price.

All members of the armed forces and emergency services will need to provide valid ID at the turnstiles in order to receive free admission. Season ticket holders from Premier League and Football League clubs will need to present 2017/18 season ticket to receive half price admission.

We will also be showing the day's live televised football with games including Doncaster Rovers v Rotherham United (12:30) and Ebbsfleet United v Leyton Orient (17:30).
