The Gulls took the lead on 23 minutes following James Parker's foul on Jason Hallett in the area. Rob King, who after a long successful streak had missed his last two penalties, stepped and and confidently slotted Canvey into the lead.
Having gone into half time 1-0 up, King added his and Canvey's second 2 minutes into the second half with a well executed finish from the edge of the area.
Jason Hallett produced another excellent display up front, and he scored the goal that his efforts had deserved on 87 minutes when his header from a corner just crossed the line before the defender could clear the ball.
Finally, with 90 minutes on the clock, substitute Leon Gordon ran the ball the length of the pitch before pulling the ball back to Matt Game, who in found Rob King who lashed the ball in from 25 yards with the help of a deflection.
