Canvey Island round off their November on the road as they travel for an Essex derby away at Billericay Town in the Isthmian League Premier.

Tipped as one of the early favourites for the title following their relegation from the National League South last season, the Blues have endured a tricky start to life back in the Isthmian League, finding themselves sitting 12th in the table at the time of writing.

Their last outing saw them knocked of the FA Trophy at home last Saturday, as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of National League South side Bath City.

The Gulls meanwhile, picked up another point in the league at home last Saturday, extending their unbeaten run to 4 games as they drew 1-1 against Carshalton Athletic. Joe Paxman was the Canvey goalscorer.

This will be our 45th match in all competitions against the Blues, the long standing local rivalry going back to 1975. Our last meeting was in January of this year in the 4th Round of the Essex Senior Cup, Billericay coming out 3-1 winners on the night. Callum Fitzer got the Canvey goal that evening.

With the World Cup in full swing, top flight football on hold and the team in great form, it's the perfect time to watch your local team. We hope to see the Yellow Army out in force, loud and proud.
