Canvey Island are on the road for the first time this season on Tuesday night, as they travel to South London to face Dulwich Hamlet in the Isthmian League Premier.

The Opposition
Dulwich Hamlet are contesting their first Isthmian League season since 2018 following their relegation from the National League South last year, with their drop confirmed on the final day.
They've been longtime Isthmian stalwarts in the past however, and manager Hakan Heyrettin has been busy building a squad to compete for an immediate return to the National League this summer, bringing in talented signings such as Anthony Jeffery and Luke Wanadio, whilst retaining the experience of players like Danny Mills and Michael Timlin amongst others.
They began their season in unfamiliar territory on Saturday, taking a trip to league new boys to face Hashtag United in the two clubs first ever league meeting. The match ended 2-2, with the Hamlet being pegged back in injury time.
Our last meeting with Dulwich came in the 16/17 season, with the Gulls winning 1-0 thanks to a late header from Steve Sheehan.
The Gulls
The Gulls meanwhile, began their season at home on Saturday, as they came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 against Haringey Borough.
Mason Hall, Bradley Sach and Evans Kouassi got the vital goals to secure three points on the opening day.
You can read the match report for this game on the website, with the Canvey goals also available on our YouTube channel.

You're support on Saturday was second to none as always, and we thank all those in attendance in what is otherwise a busy period in the calendar.
Your support on the road last year was a big driving factor in the squads good fortune, and we hope to see the same on the road this year.
We wish all fans travelling a safe and easy journey to South London.
