Canvey Island make their last foray into Kent this season as they travel to face Folkestone Invicta this Saturday in the Isthmian League Premier.

Our Opponents
Invicta, much like ourselves, have endured an indifferent season, falling short of making a charge for the playoffs but doing enough stave off relegation concerns. They currently sit two places and four points behind us in 17th, though they are 11 points above the drop zone with 10 games remaining, meaning they are unlikely to be dragged into a relegation battle at this stage.
Their recent league form has seen them make this possible, with 8 points collected from their last 6 games, with 6 points from their last 5 games at home. They picked up a valuable win against one of the relegation fighters last time out, defeating Kingstonian 3-2 at home last Saturday.
Player-manager Andy Drury has been rebuilding his squad after he took reins back in November, and has begun to assemble a talented side at Cheriton Road, wit the likes of Edward Allsopp and Seidou Sanogo joining from league high-flyers Chatham Town, and experienced striker Tom Derry adding firepower up front.
We met Invicta at home back in late January, where goals from Bradley Sach and Charlie Edwards helped the Gulls gain a 2-1 win on a windswept evening at the Moviestarr Stadium.
The Gulls
Canvey meanwhile, will be seeking the win that has alluded them since early February and will want to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat at home to playoff chasers Wingate & Finchley.
Despite controlling much of the game and finishing the game with a man advantage, Canvey couldn't take their chances while the visitors took theirs, condemning them to a third defeat in five. With 10 games now remaining, they'll be looking to finish the season on a high note to round off the campaign.
