Canvey Island return to Isthmian League action on Tuesday evening as they travel for a local derby away at Billericay Town.

Our Opponents
The Blues have enjoyed a good start to the new season following new manager Gary McCann's arrival. Having recruited well to build his side, they currently sit 9th in the league, though having played two games less than some of the sides above them.
They've also done well in the FA Cup, reaching the 4th Qualifying Round of the competition on Saturday as they dispatched National League South side St Albans City at the New Lodge by a goal to nil.
They boast a wealth of talent in their side, with retained names like Bradley Stevenson and Alfie Cerulli having cut their teeth at this level for Ricay last year, and prominent signings like Ade Azeez and Frankie Merrifield - a former Canvey favourite who won the title with Bishop’s Stortford last season.
The Gulls
On a rare Saturday off, the Gulls found themselves without a game at the weekend due to Carshalton Athletic's involvement in the Emirates FA Cup.
Their last league outing was a much improved affair however, as they confidently put Margate to the sword at home by a score of 4-1.
Rob Girdlestone, Bradley Sach, Sam Mvemba and Elliott Ronto all notched for the Gulls that afternoon.
Brad Wellmen should have a near full side to travel to Billericay, though Elliott Johnson remains sidelined through longterm injury, and Jamie Salmon will be assessed after he missed the game against Margate with a knock.

Local derbies are always a hotly contested affair on and off the pitch, and we're sure the Yellow Army will travel in numbers after being starved of their weekly football fix.
Be loud and proud, and back our boys to another victory in the league!
