Canvey Island are thrust straight back into Isthmian League action on Monday night as they make the trip to Carshalton Athletic.

Our Opponents
The Robins have enjoyed a fine start to their league campaign, with 6 wins and 2 draws in their opening 9 matches seeing them sitting 3rd in the table at the time of writing.
Their calendar of late has been preoccupied by just one team however - Isthmian League South Cray Valley PM.
Following on from a draw and a replay in the Emirates FA Cup - a tie in which the Robins were eventually knocked out - they then had to play their opponents for a third time on Saturday in the Isuzu FA Trophy, with the Millers once again besting their hosts with a 2-1 victory to knock the Robins out of the competition at the first hurdle.
Manager Peter Adeniyi has plenty of quality in his side to see them return to form however, with frontmen Danny Bassett and Tommy Bradford already notching 6 goals each this season.
Our last meeting came back in early February this year, as goals from Bradley Sach and Charlie Edwards saw Canvey run out 2-0 winners at the War Memorial Sports Ground.
The Gulls
Canvey, like our opponents, were in Isuzu FA Trophy action on Saturday and, like our opponents, also fell at the first hurdle as they lost to Southern League Premier South side Walton & Hersham.
Elliott Ronto levelled the game up for the Gulls after they fell behind early on, but two more goals from the hosts late in the game meant that there will be no 'march to the arch' for the Gulls this season.

Yellow Army, your support on the road has been fantastic again this season despite the challenging start.
With gane ranging from intermittent to immediate this month due to fixture headaches, we appreciate everyone who makes the effort to travel.
