On Monday 28th November, we will make the short journey to the Len Salmon Stadium to take on Isthmian North outfit, Hashtag United in the BBC Essex Senior Cup 3rd Round, 19:45 kick-off.
The Tags are flying high in the Isthmian North and currently occupy 2nd position. They come into this match following a 3-0 win at home to Basildon United.
We come into this match on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Billericay Town, and currently occupy 6th position. The Gulls will be keen to get straight back to winning ways as they aim to progress to the next round of the BBC Essex Senior Cup.
If this match happens to be level after 90 minutes, then penalties will follow with the winner progressing the the 4th round.
We hope to see many Canvey fans in attendance. As always, get right behind the team from the off. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your fantastic support, it doesn't go unnoticed. We wish you all a safe journey to and from the match.
Wellmen's Words
Chris Smith caught up with Canvey manager, Brad Wellmen ahead of this match. Brad said: "Senior Cup is a competition the club has won before & one we want to do well in this year, especially given our previous cup results this year.
Hashtag are having a great season. It's a game that will be extremely tough, but we are looking forward to it. With it coming quickly after Saturday, we have players who need minutes, so it will be good to rotate the squad a little & get minutes into people's legs, but we have a small squad. We are definitely going there to win & get into the next round! Hopefully see plenty of the Yellow Army there."
